Trip To France: Cote d'Azur

And so our adventure in France continues...

The French Riviera had an elegant retro feel to it

With pebbled beaches

Jute mats comfort barefeet

There were cyclists everywhere

A reminder of the upcoming Tour De France
(not in this area this year)

Motorcycles too

Love the 2 wheel pizza delivery

And a charm that only France has

Love these shutters, lamps
& view down street

Wonderful restaurants literally on the beach
offering the freshest of seafood

Au revoir, Cote d'Azur

Oh we are up late at night watching the Tour again this year. Our goal for sometime in the next few years is to take a tour and follow the race through France....your photos just entice me some more.

Your pics are gorgeous! We visited there back in 2001 when we drove from Paris down through the alps and also hit Nice and Cannes. A truly dreamy place. :)

Absolutely one of my favorite places in the world. Hope you got to visit some of the markets. Isn't it hard to leave when a place is this beautiful?

What a lovely adventure. I've been traveling vicariously through the Tour de France, but so wish I could climb through the screen for my own French adventure. Have fun! Can't wait to see more.

Hi Laura, I've just been doing some catching up as I've been so busy recently, but it seems that you have been busier and still managed to find time to share it all. Loved your Ascot post and the story about the hat lady. There was a similar lady near to where I used to live that was the 'must go' place for hats to hire, and she made the most exquisite ones if you wanted to part with serious cash! Glad you enjoyed your South of France trip.

Goodness, Laura, you are bringing back memories for me! Try summer 1989. And those pebbled beaches there are perfectly horrid! No enjoyment to be had there for this Australian lass ☺. J x

Your photos are FABulous! We just got back from Provence but did not make it down to the Cote d'Ajur. I posted three posts and have more coming of our trip. I love France and England.
