Summer Read: 'The Secret Keeper'

Looking for a great book this summer?
I couldn't put this one down

'The Secret Keeper' pages
are filled with a great story, some unexpected twists,
and good character development

- ooh, I just LOVED this book! -
Probably my favorite read in a long time

By international bestselling author of 'The Forgotten Garden',
Kate Morton's most recent novel is set in England in the 1930s, the 1960s and present day

It knits together a story of 'mysteries and secrets, murder and enduring love'
and leaves the reader guessing until the very end

Have you read anything fantastic lately?

If not, now you have :)

Just added it to my amazon list! I love to read, a girl can never have too many books!
Right now I'm reading "No child of Mine" By Susan Lewis, I picked it up at Sainsbury's of all places, so far so good!

I loved this one, but The House at Riverton is my favorite of hers.

I loved this book! However I think The House at Riverton might still be my favourite of all Kate Morton's books!

I LOVE Kate Morton, and I've been trying to get my hands on this book. I've read everything else she has written, and she is great! My friend recommended Karen White to me, and I'm reading The color of Light by her now. She reminds me of Kate Morton.....try her!

Thanks for the recommendation, Laura! I just finished *The Forgotten Garden* and have *The Secret Keeper* in my que at the library. I was wondering if I should immerse myself in another Kate Morton book this summer. I stayed up until 3am to complete *The Forgotten Garden*. Good to know that *The Secret Keeper* is "lack-of-sleep worthy"! ;)

I agree. This is a great read - I'm a big Kate Morton fan. I recently read The Gift of Rain by Tan Twan Eng - you might enjoy that.

This is on my kindle as a preview to remind me to buy it once I have finished some of the other massive pile of books I have to read (over 50 at the last count).

Good to know it is worth keeping on my list of future reads!

I've just ordered this.

I think you would enjoy a quartet of books, by Elizabeth Jane Howard. They've recently been adapted for radio and serialised on Radio 4. You might have heard them.

The first is called "The Light Years" and is set in the 1930s.

I really think you'd enjoy them. They're very very English. I've learnt a lot about life in the pre-war era from reading them. The detail is incredible. Really gives you a feel for what life was like. And the characterisation is fabulous. You really feel you know the people.
